Animation and the Book Arts, Center for Book Arts, Manhattan, NYC, USA
July 12th - September 23rd 2017.
An animation showcase/exhibition at the Center for Book Arts in New York City this summer entitled "Animation and the Book Arts" will highlight animation created using processes associated with the book arts: letterpress, printmaking, stenciling, rubber stamps.
The collaborative animation film was made as part of the 1st LENVention (Letterpress Etiquette Network) Convention in Bristol in 2013 with 9 letterpress print artists.
The film in the exhibition is part of one of five reels shown in the main gallery on various monitors. There will be a published catalogue, alongside a panel discussion and a workshop on animation taught by Marilyn Zornado.
You can see the film here.
