As the moon retreats from us
Watercolour woodblock print on Japanese washi made in the winter of 2025 with Sumi ink, copper, indigo and gofun pigment, with chine-collé addition.
Mokuhanga on handmade kozo washi (mulberry paper) from Echizen, Japan, 4 passes, 2 blocks, variable edition of 20 with 2 AP’s, 24 x 16cm.
This print was born from the knowledge that with each passing day, the moon moves a tiny bit further away from earth, making it appear smaller to us than to our ancestors.
