Awake in the Meadow

As part of the Not Quite Light festival six strangers were invited to collectively experience the sunset, dusk and twilight in The Meadow, Salford. Between 8 - 11pm people lay on mattresses covered with cyanotype coated silk sheets.  The last hours of sunlight were captured on the UV-sensitive silk, forming intimate maps of those who witnessed the end of the day individually, yet together. The blue prints were developed and returned to each participant. The durational artwork was recorded in a time-lapse video.
