Conjunction.

A work on the solstice to celebrate deep midwinter 2020, Saturn and Jupiter in historic alignment, and friendship. In collaboration with Khosro Adibi’s ‘Iris’ stone sculpture on the Northumbrian fells, a sheet of cyanotype coated cotton draped, blew and bled throughout the 7 hours and 8 minutes of day light on the shortest day of the year. From green to blue, dawn to dusk, sun to fog, the cloth carries the memory of light, the seconds of time and a conjunction of two artists who return to this place time and again.
